The tarsus is a group of 7 tarsal bones and all soft structures located between the leg and the metatarsus.The proximal row of tarsal bones consists of 2 bones: the talus, which is medial, the calcaneus which is lateral. Tap on the proximal tarsal bones and the talus and calcaneus will appear shaded red and green, respectively.
