To form the vertebral column, the vertebra are lined up in a superior to inferior orientation. The inferior aspect of the superior vertebra articulates with the superior aspect of the inferior vertebra. All of the vertebral foramen line up to form the vertebral canal, which contains the spinal cord. Tap the arrow going through the vertebral canal to visualize the spinal cord going through the vertebral canal.
