The body of the sternum is inferior to the manubrium, found between the second costal cartilage and the last costal cartilage.
The body of the sternum:
1. is formed by the 4 original sternabrae, fused in adult
2. Articulates with R2-7, manubrium and xiphoid process
3. Forms the sternal angle (of Louis) where it articulates with the manubrium @T4
4. Anterior to T5-9 Vertebrae
