Proximal Attachment - Spinous processes of T2-T5 vertebrae
Distal Attachment - Medial border of scapula from level of spine to inferior angle
Innervation - Dorsal, scapular nerve
Action - Retract scapula and rotate the glenoid cavity inferiorly; fix scapula to thoracic wall
