The soleal line is a ridge found on the posterior surface of the proximal 1/3rd of the tibia. It originates proximally near the fibular head on the lateral aspect of the posterior tibia and travels obliquely distally towards the its termination on the medial aspect of the tibia, at ~ the proximal 1/3rd aspect of the tibial. This is an important site of muscle attachment and will be discussed later. Tap where you would predict to find this structure and it will appear shaded red.
